Mercedes-Benz sells 1000th SLR
Mercedes-Benz sells 1000th SLR McLaren since 2004 as of today. It has been reported that in the past day the 1000th hand made SLR McLaren has been sold. Mercedes-Benz has not released the buyer s name but has said that they do reside in Japan and the estimated cost of the super exotic is somewhere in the $462 000 range.

Commentary: I recently saw one of these used as well as at the 2006 Chicago Auto Show and they are beautiful cars. Im not sure I would spend $470 000 on a single car when I could have an entire stable but I guess if you have the money and want to be one of the select 1000 among the 6 billion of us the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is the way to go.
